宗旨：
1.收集与采购：（收集范围）
文献：年议会记录，各教区堂会的档案，纪念刊，讲章等。
文物：旧照片（事件，日期，地点），教会使用过的文物，个人捐献（有历史意义）
2.储存与维护：制定保护政策及规范。
3.参阅与教育：

- 以电脑查询资料之方式提供档案之开放及应用。同时备有训练及扶助各教会成立该堂会的档案中心。
- 推广诗巫卫理之旅（半日游）：乃希望让本会会友对自己的教会历史有更深的认识。

简史：
历史文献部成立於2001年。目的是藉着收集，保存和研究历史文物以期见证神在本会和本州发展史中的作极为，强化会友对本会历史的认识和达到教会历史教育的果效。
历史走廊及档案库：
现已收集110间堂会档案。历史走廊呈现早期牧者们使用过的文物，有如：姚峭钦牧师的衣橱、王继曾牧师用来医病的药物、林开臻牧师的讲章等。
於2010年重建真安堂旧堂并命名为“历史文物展览馆“。主要展示早期教会及坡民使用的文物，并于2014年增设户外景观：中式炉灶、较胶小阁、烘胶房、磨豆石、茅厕、树胶树、胡椒树、古井、思恩亭、荷花池。
展望：
继续保存教会档案，同时能设置研究部门，以加强档案整理与研究，并编辑出版档案资料。

A brief history:
Started in 2001, our board has the aim to testify the greatness of God Himself and His work in Sarawak through collecting, keeping and doing research on historical records. We also promote the understanding of the church history among the church members.
Storing and acquiring first hand records is very important to both the church and the community. These records also become the principle resource of critical study and research.
Entering into the 21st century, our board desires to serve the churches and communities through collecting, cataloguing and establishing records and documents in a modernized way.
Our Aims
Collecting and Buying
Records: All minutes, church bullentins, year books, memoirs, anniversary publications, certificates, letters, sermons, old record books, memorial materials, old Bibles, old hymnals.
Materials: Pictures (with dates, people, events), old pulpits, old crosses, old maps, cassette tapes, videos, CD, old clocks, old church wall pictures.
Storing and Keeping: Mainly for the sake of administrative work. It includes setting guidelines and boundaries. It also includes the environment policy, the depositing policy, the use policy, and repairs the policy and so on.
Reading and Education: We provide computer system to allow easy assess to the records. We also provide training courses to assist churches to start their own record centres.
Research and Exhibition: To run a research centre in order to provide research opportunities and to publish materials and records.
